The Holographic Principle
A screening of video works not normally screened.
With Ian Arenas, Greg Curtis, Bianca D'Amico, Josh Mannis, and Davida Nemeroff.
Curated by Jason Kunke

The Holographic Principle presents a screening of video works not normally screened. These works are usually part of sculpture or installation, or loops that allow the viewer to comae and go. For one evening only, the 3-dimensional aspects of these pieces will be condensed into a 2-dimensional screening, changing the usual presentation in an attempt to induce a potentially meditative, altered state of awareness for the viewers.

The screening may be followed by a brief discussion. 420 friendly.

August 21st, 5-8pm

Egg: To Have or Have Not

Introducing a new food series, Food in Space, curated by Auntie Em's Kitchen chef, musician, and performance artist, Donna Coppola:

Aug 9, 7PM - Tasting Night, FREE
Try tomatoes, honey, compare supermarket vegetables to farmer's market and home grown, raw milk and pasteurized milk, and miracle berry pills-- the "pills" that you eat to make everything sweet (lemons, limes, grapefruit, coffee, bread, strawberries, cheese, pickled foods, balsamic vinegar). There will be tasting stations where we will get a little history and background information on what we are tasting.

Some interesting facts...
1. California is one of the very few, if not the only, states where you can buy raw milk.
2. Miracle berry pill parties have been going on since the 70's.

Aug 16 - Blindfolded Dinner $8 a person
2 sessions: 7pm and 9pm
RSVP (lara@seaandspace.org)
required 15 person max. each seating.
Sit at communal tables blindfolded and get served.

Aug 23 - Long-cooking/labor intensive/tedious task dish - $1 a bowl served at 6pm

Donna will be cooking all day. You are invited to come and get yourself a bowl of tomato sauce (from actual summer tomatoes!) and homemade orchiette (a type of pasta).
